Can I Remove Respondus Monitor from a LockDown Browser Quiz or Exam?

Summary

If for any reason you would like to remove the Monitor setting from a LockDown Browser quiz or exam, it can be done quickly and easily. 

Environment

Canvas
Respondus LockDown Browser (within Canvas)

Content

 

  1. Navigate to LockDown Browser in the Course Navigation Menu 

Click LockDown Browser from the Navigation Menu of the course where the quiz or exam is held:

  1. Open the Settings for the quiz or exam in question.  

Click the arrow to expand the menu for the quiz or exam in question, then click on Settings to expand the settings menu.

  1. Under “Respondus Monitor”, click the “Don’t require Respondus Monitor for this exam” option. 

Select the option to not require Respondus Monitor. This should not change anything else about the exam.

  1. Click “Save + Close” to finalize the change. 

Once you’ve switched the setting off, click “Save + Close” to finalize the change.
