Record a Microsoft Teams Meeting and Share It in Canvas

Overview

Microsoft Teams meetings can be recorded and shared with students through Canvas using a link to the recording.

Start Recording

1. Join or start a Teams meeting.
2. Select More Actions (⋯).
3. Click Start Recording.

Stop Recording

1. Select More Actions (⋯).
2. Click Stop Recording.

Access the Recording

Once processing is complete, the recording will be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint depending on the meeting type.

Share the Recording in Canvas

1. Locate the recording in OneDrive or SharePoint.
2. Select Share.
3. Copy the sharing link.
4. Open Canvas and navigate to the desired course.
5. Add the link to a Page, Assignment, Discussion, or Module.

Important Notes

• Verify that students have permission to access the recording.
• Review sharing settings before posting the link.
