Accessing the Enhanced Similarity Report for Student Submissions
- Click the Grades link on the course menu from anywhere in your Canvas course.
- In the Gradebook, locate the student submission you want to review and click the submission icon to select it. NOTE: You can quickly identify assignment submissions with Turnitin originality reports by using a colored (e.g., yellow, green, red) square in the upper right corner of the grade cell.
- Click the right-pointing arrow to open the Grading Panel for the submission.
- Click the SpeedGrader button to continue on the resulting grading panel.
- In the right panel of the SpeedGrader screen, locate and click the Turnitin originality score icon that appears under Submitted Files.
- A new browser tab containing the Turnitin Enhanced Originality Report for the student’s submission will open. You can switch between viewing the Canvas SpeedGrader screen and this originality report by clicking their respective browser tabs. After reviewing the originality report, close its tab to return to Canvas. NOTE: To learn more about the report and how to interpret and use it, we’ve provided several resources in the next section of this support document.
