Integrating Turnitin with the Canvas Gradebook allows faculty to seamlessly check for originality while grading assignments. This integration ensures plagiarism detection results are accessible within Canvas, streamlines the grading workflow, and provides students with transparent feedback on academic integrity. Below is a list of the Turnitin icons commonly seen in the Canvas Gradebook and what they mean.
- Gray Turnitin Icon -- Report pending. The submission has been sent to Turnitin, but the originality report is not yet available.
- Colored Turnitin Icons with Percentage -- Report available. The color indicates the similarity score range:
- Blue (0%): No matching text.
- Green (1–24%): Low similarity.
- Yellow (25–49%): Moderate similarity.
- Orange (50–74%): High similarity.
- Red (75–100%): Very high similarity.
- No Icon -- Turnitin was not enabled for this assignment, or the submission type is unsupported.
