Canvas SpeedGrader is a powerful tool designed to simplify grading and feedback for faculty. One of its most impactful features is annotation, which allows instructors to provide clear, visual feedback directly on student submissions. By using annotation tools, faculty can save time, improve communication, and create a more engaging learning experience.

What is the Annotation Feature?

The annotation feature in SpeedGrader enables instructors to mark up student submissions with comments, highlights, and drawings. It supports common file types such as PDFs, Word documents, and image files. Annotations work seamlessly alongside rubrics and audio/video feedback, giving faculty multiple ways to communicate expectations and suggestions.
